Well--since I don't have any pics of me in my costumes as a child (my mom still has them all), I put up a pic of my youngest two kids from last year. It's so much easier today to dress up as you can buy costumes. But the most fun costumes are the ones you make yourself, which I did with my older ones when they were small. I got lazier with each child....hahaha.
So lets see my most memorable ones:
1. Gypsy: I was about 3 years old and had my grandmother's short blond wig. I had on a raggedy but colorful handmade skirt and a white blouse and my mom stuffed pillows underneath of me to make me look "full figured". And I had a crochet shawl on top. Very eclectic!!!!
OH I REMEMBERED I HAD ONE OF ME!
2. ok--so two would be clown. That's me on the left in the hat and my cousin on the right w/the wig. Her mom made those costumes. :D
3. Indian. I remember being in the elementary school parade in my Indian dress my mom made me. I think I was in about 5th grade and all the kids in our grade had to dress up as indians or cowboys for the "festival" and parade. She has a great pic of this one w/me & my best friends.
4. Sorry this will be my last entry because I the only other thing I can remember being dressed up as was a ballerina...or other kind of dancer. I took dance lessons and used my recital costumes for halloween every year. :D
